How much does Word Culture cost?
The first 10 levels are free. After that you can unlock the full game with a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and there are no ads. The price is shown in the app in your local currency.
I bought the full game. How do I get it on a new phone or after reinstalling?
Sign in to the same Google Play or Apple account you bought it with, then open Settings → Restore purchase. Your purchase is linked to that store account, so you never pay twice.
"No previous purchase found" when I restore
Make sure the phone is signed in to the same store account you used to buy the game and that it's online. Purchases don't move between Android and iPhone, because Google Play and the App Store are separate stores.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from:
- Google Play: request a refund on Google Play
- App Store: reportaproblem.apple.com
Why does the app ask a math question before buying?
That's a parental gate. It keeps young players from buying anything by accident. An adult answers the question to continue.
Progress and cloud save
Where is my progress saved?
On your device. If you want a copy in the cloud, turn on Settings → Save progress to cloud. It uses your Google Play Games account on Android or iCloud on iPhone. We don't keep your progress on our own servers.
How do I move my progress to a new phone?
On the old phone, turn on cloud save and tap Sync now. On the new phone, sign in with the same Google or Apple account, install Word Culture and turn on cloud save. Your stars are merged, so nothing is lost. Progress can't move between Android and iPhone.
Cloud sync failed
Check that you are online and signed in: Google Play Games on Android, or iCloud on iPhone. Then tap Sync now again.
How do I start over or delete my data?
Use Settings → Reset progress on this device to erase stars, XP and streak on this device. Use Settings → Delete cloud data to remove the cloud copy. See our Privacy Policy for more.
Playing
What's the difference between Kids and Adult mode?
Kids mode shows pictures next to the words, uses shorter lists and gives more time. Adult mode has longer lists, a faster pace and detailed stats. Change it any time under Settings → Player profile.
Which languages can I play in?
English, Español, Français and Português. Pick the language of the words under Settings → Word language. Each language has its own map and stars, so switching starts a fresh campaign with new words. The app's menus can use a different language (Settings → App language).
I found a wrong translation

My streak reset
Your streak grows when you play on consecutive days. Skipping a day starts it again from 1. Changing the date or time on your phone can also affect it.
